Pacing the Void

Mount Stuart Trust are pleased to present a newly commissioned performance by Rhona Warwick Paterson and Eve Mutso.

Friday 9th September, 7pm

Saturday 10th September, 7pm

Sunday 11th September, 3.30pm

Runtime: 30 Minutes

Suggested donation per person: £5

Performed in the Marble Hall, beneath the painted ceiling emblazoned with accurately placed crystals, charting the constellations, this performance piece is a creative exploration of myth, muse and shamanic movement. The resulting work will combine text, soundscape and performance to create a dance-poem entitled Pacing the Void; a reference to an ancient Daoist visionary ritual.

Eve Mutso was formerly a Principal Dancer with Scottish Ballet and now pursues her own projects in Scotland and Estonia as a freelance choreographer. Her previous collaborations with Rhona Warwick Paterson have included work for Fruitmarket Gallery in Edinburgh. Recent work by Rhona Warwick Paterson has included Made on the Table, an artists' book commissioned by Glasgow Museums.

The audience will watch the performance from the gallery level in the Marble Hall. If you are unable to stand for long periods or are a wheelchair user please get in touch with us to discuss your accessibility requirements ahead of the performance.
