Accessibility

At Mount Stuart we want every visitor to enjoy an incredible experience. If you have a mobility, visual or hearing impairment, we are here to help.

Site Accessibility

It is a 20 minute walk from the Visitor Centre (where tickets are purchased) to the main House. Paths are mainly gravel with a short section of grass and woodland trail.

A complimentary shuttle bus service operates between the Visitor Centre and main house daily from 10.00am to 5.15pm. The shuttle bus is not wheelchair adapted.

Inside the House

Mount Stuart has a working lift which can fit a standard sized wheelchair for access to the upper floors. For conservation reasons we request that visitors use the wheelchairs we have available on site. Motorised wheelchairs/scooters are not permitted within the House.

Lightweight, portable seating is available for visitors to use throughout the house. Please speak to one of our guides if you require assistance.

For visitors with hearing impairments, limited written interpretation is available.

Assistance dogs are permitted within the house.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcomed throughout the grounds and in the external seating area at the Courtyard. Dogs are not permitted within the Kitchen Garden Glasshouse, indoor catering areas or the main house. We hope you enjoy exploring our 300 acres of gardens and grounds and thank you for picking up after your dog.
