At Mount Stuart it is important to us that every visitor is able to get the best out of their visit. Visitors who require extra assistance or specialist facilities can either speak to a member of staff when they arrive or contact us in advance.

Site Accessibility

There are a limited number of parking spaces close to the House for Blue Badge holders. It is a 20 minute walk between the Visitor Centre and Mount Stuart and we offer a shuttle bus service free of charge. The bus is not wheelchair adapted.

Inside the House

Mount Stuart has a working lift which can fit a standard sized wheelchair for access to the upper floors. For conservation reasons we encourage visitors to use the wheelchairs we have available on site. Lightweight, portable seating is available for visitors to use throughout the house. Please speak to one of our guides if you require assistance.

We can also provide limited written interpretation for our visitors with hearing impairments.

Guide dogs and service dogs only are permitted in the house and on our shuttle bus service.

Well behaved dogs are allowed on leads throughout the grounds. Please be aware that there are Estate vehicles driving throughout the gardens and grounds. Be aware of your dog at all times and clean up after them.
