Apple Archives - A community workshop documenting time through fallen apples
Come along and join our community apple event with Ieva Grigelionyte.
As apple trees shed their fruit and winter draws near, each day brings fewer apples on the branches and more on the ground. I invite you to join us at the community orchard to capture this fleeting moment. We’ll document the season by taking apple tree portraits and trying on costumes designed to gather fallen apples.*
Afterward, we'll gather in the bothy to warm up with herbal tea, sharing conversation as we explore and taste different methods of apple preservation. Enjoy samples of apple vinegar, dried apples, lacto-fermented apples, apple cheese, and even apple ice cream.
*Tree portraits will be taken on film, and each participant will receive a printed photo by mail in the weeks following the workshop.
Meet at 11am at the Community Orchard near the entrance to Mount Stuart. Parking available by following the road to the right beside the orchard. Limited spaces available please book a free place. For adults and children from age 10 years.
