UK Summer Savings at Mount Stuart
Mount Stuart is pleased to be taking part in the Great British Summer Savings initiative this summer, offering families a visit to the house and gardens for less.
From 25 June to 1 September, visitors will pay less on admissions thanks to the UK Government's temporary cut to VAT.
A Family Day Out
Set within 300 acres of grounds, Mount Stuart offers an extraordinary setting for a family day out. Your visit begins at the charming Roundhouse, once used as the estate's game store, now home to the ticket office and shop. From there, visitors can explore the magnificent house, renowned for its remarkable interiors, craftsmanship and fascinating history.
Beyond the house, there's plenty to discover. Wander through the Kitchen Garden, Rock Garden and Wee Garden, explore Calvary Garden and Pond, or stroll beneath the towering trees of the Pinetums. Follow the paths through the grounds, past the Shore Chapel to the private beach, with sweeping views across the water to the mainland.
For younger visitors, there's plenty of space to run, explore and let off steam, with winding paths, open lawns and woodland to discover at every turn. Keep an eye out and you might even spot one of Bute's resident red squirrels. Children's treasure trail sheets are also available to help little adventurers make the most of their visit.
The Courtyard Café provides a welcoming place to relax and refuel, serving sandwiches, homemade soup, scones and cakes, ice cream, and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome throughout much of the grounds, making Mount Stuart a great destination for the whole family.
