Curator Tour: The Weather Inside II
Join our Curator of Contemporary Art, Dr Morven Gregor, on a tour of Veronica Ryan’s exhibition, The Weather Inside II.
The Weather Inside II includes new work that reflects on the materiality of Mount Stuart House, its contents and living collection, while also seeing Ryan interrogate lineage through her consideration of family histories. Her sculptural practice embraces the handmade and domestic as conduits for memory, while interrogating collecting practices and colonialism through natural and found objects.
The work also responds to the context of the Isle of Bute, with its limits and boundaries created by the sea.
The tour runs from 3–4pm. You can reserve a spot here. Please meet at the main entrance to the House.
