Behind the Bricks & Mortar: Archivist Exhibition Talks
Join us to discover more about the incredible story behind Mount Stuart’s architectural journey!
From Rothesay Castle and the Mansion House, to the beautifully designed Georgian and Victorian mansions envisaged and built by the Bute family - Mount Stuart’s architecture spans from the early 18th century to the present day. Our exhibition curator, Lynsey Nairn, will showcase original material from the Bute Collection at Mount Stuart, linking the past to the present though the amazing and unique documents and designs from the Archive.
Our 1-hour 'Behind the Bricks & Mortar: Archivist Exhibition Talks' will commence at 2:30pm on each the following dates:
- Thursday 16th April 2026
- Friday 28th August 2026
Event Information
- The event takes place at Mount Stuart House, postcode PA20 9LR
- Parking is available at the Visitor Car Park for guests, and there is also parking beside the House - please follow signage for coach and accessible parking
- Visitors with special access requirements should contact the Mount Stuart team in advance to make arrangements e: contactus@mountstuart.com
- On arrival for each talk, please gather by Mount Stuart's Main Entrance where doors will open at the earliest time of 2:15pm for a talk start time of 2:30pm on each date
