EV Charging at Mount Stuart for Visitors and Guests
We are aware that some visitors have experienced intermittent issues with our EV chargers, and we appreciate your patience.
Our chargers rely on 4G connectivity rather than a hardwired internet connection, and as with many rural areas, signal strength at our location can be inconsistent. This has occasionally caused some chargers to appear offline, despite being operational. In addition, incorrect disconnection (via the car instead of the app) can delay reset times by several hours.
We’ve worked closely with Project EV to troubleshoot these issues, and resets have been carried out whenever faults were reported. However, to avoid ongoing confusion, we have now asked Project EV to remove the chargers from their public listings. They remain available for Mount Stuart guests, members, and visitors to the House and Gardens.
We kindly ask that any issues or concerns around charging be directed to us at contactus@mountstuart.com, or by phone on 01700 503877, so that we can respond promptly, accurately and offer help when required.
We’d also like to remind visitors, members and our local community, that we hold monthly open-door meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. All are welcome. Please make an appointment with our Business & Community Liaison Officer, Fiona Hardie, fiona@mountstuart.com.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
