Research and publications

Knowledge, shared

Much of the material in our archive is of great historical significance. From eyewitness accounts of the execution of Mary Queen of Scots and the sinking of the Titanic, to political papers and royal correspondence.

Whether in print media or online publications, we build on our knowledge to educate and inspire others. Similarly, we are open for external researchers to unlock our amazing resources. You can access our archives in person (subject to availability) – simply contact us to make an appointment.

Exhibitions and academic partnerships

We also share exciting findings from our research in our various learning programmes and academic partnerships. We host a range of detailed exhibitions, too. Previous exhibitions have covered everything from the Crichton-Stuart’s role in WW1, to International Women’s Day.
