eatBute FESTIVAL

In May 2008 the first ever eatBute festival was held. The objective of this event was to give local food producers from the Isle of Bute and the surrounding area a platform to showcase the amazing fresh, local, and seasonal produce available in the region.

The event was a resounding success, and emphasised to both producers and visitors the abundance of quality produce available in Argyll and Bute.

MEET THE LOCALS

Always a favourite with children of all ages, our 150 happy hens are the Mount Stuart ‘Ladies who Lunch . A very sociable bunch, who are always happy to be stroked by our visitors.

Our free-range chickens, live in the policies at Mount Stuart and work hard to supply our restaurant, staff and many local residents with tasty eggs with sunny yellow yolks.

ATTRACTING NATIONAL INTEREST

Mount Stuart’s eatBute festival has caught the eye and stirred the imagination of many of the food industry’s professionals, including some well-known faces.

All are keen to support the ethos of the eatBute philosophy – to give local food producers from the Isle of Bute and the surrounding area a platform to showcase the amazing fresh, local, and seasonal produce available in the region.

Bute is the gateway to many regions of the west coast of Scotland – Argyll and North Ayrshire are our closest neighbours, each with their own amazing array of food supplies and artisan producers.

eatBute serves to highlight the best the region has to offer and is supported by producers and suppliers from throughout Scotland - and beyond.

A weekend long celebration of fun for all ages - you will find something for everyone at this year's eatBute event! eatBute celebrates the abundance of truly wonderful fresh, local produce from Argyll & the surrounding area. Set to the backdrop of the magnificent Mount Stuart House and with tantalising tastings, live music and family & children's activities, this event is truly a feast for the senses!
