We want everyone to enjoy their time at Mount Stuart. Disabled visitors can access the main House via an alternative ramped entrance, and there is lift access to the upper floors of the House. Our Courtyard Tea Room and Gift Shop are on ground level with nearby access to disabled toilets.
Blue badge holders can park their cars in the designated area next to the House; please follow the signs from the Visitor Centre.
Our house tour is fully accessible for wheelchair users and those requiring mobility aids. There is an alternative ramped entrance for access to the House, and a lift is available for exploring the upper floors.
Facilities for visitors with disabilities are located in our Courtyard area, towards the southern side of the House.
Mount Stuart welcomes dogs with considerate owners, and we want to help you get the most from your visit.
Feel free to explore the identified routes around the estate with your dog and, as you explore, please follow a few common sense guidelines and be mindful of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. This helps us to keep the estate visitor and wildlife friendly.
Dogs must be on leads at all times and please only use the specific routes as identified on the Garden Map. Dogs that are not under control may cause accidents; your dog may also be in danger from estate vehicles, if it is not under proper control.
Thank you in advance for cleaning up after your dog, we appreciate your consideration for staff and other visitors, by not leaving the waste for someone else to dispose of!
