Please note the Visitor Centre Restaurant will be closed during September 2014.  The Courtyard Tea Room will be open as usual. 

There is no need to buy a visitor pass for our licensed restaurant, where you can savour the freshest locally-sourced seasonal food alongside panoramic views across the Policies and towards the Firth of Clyde.

This impressive restaurant occupies the first floor of the award winning Visitor Centre. Frameless glass walls display the glorious views to their full potential, while al fresco dining on the balcony provides a particular vantage point during the summer months.

We offer, simple uncomplicated food prepared by our talented Chefs. Sourcing good, fresh and local produce for our menu is the key priority, providing a unique 'eatBute' experience for our visitors. Suppliers from the Isle of Bute and the wider regions of Argyll and Ayrshire include Ritchie’s of Rothesay, McAlister's Milk, Argyll beef and Loch Fyne Oysters. The Mount Stuart Kitchen Garden provides vegetables, salads, herbs and fruit, alongside the eggs used in our dishes and baking, produced by our 150 happy chickens. And in the summer months, our busy bees produce delightful honey which sweetens our menu.
