Mount Stuart is currently recruiting for the following positions:
SOUS CHEF
With a 100 cover restaurant, retail operations, audio visual theatre, Self Catering Lodges, Garden and Farm Shop, Courtyard Tea Rooms and Gift Shop. The Sous Chef will work alongside the Head Chef, deputising in their absence to manage all catering facilities and services that support the operation.
As an experienced and committed Sous Chef with a desire to learn and progress you will have a genuine passion for food and a real understanding of taste and flavours as well as an interest in locally sourced, fresh ingredients. Experience of stock control, margins and staff management is essential, whilst being a great communicator with the creativity and background to develop our business.
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. You will organise and implement seasonal menus, manage health and safety, control budget and operational costs in addition to training and developing the junior kitchen team.
This role involves weekend, bank holidays and evening hours.
