A vital component of Mount Stuart Trust’s aims and objectives is to promote public awareness, interaction and education in buildings of historic and architectural interest, the visual and decorative arts, botany, science, the rural environment, and contemporary visual arts, and to utilize Mount Stuart as an inclusive educational resource for all ages, pre-school to adults.
Since 2002 the trust has collaborated with various partners and specialist groups to progress and provide workshops, tours and lectures which provide the multiple resources and context Mount Stuart has to offer in terms of the archives, history, collections, gardens, tourism and contemporary visual arts programme at Mount Stuart, and conservation of the island’s rural environment, ancient sites and wildlife. Events are facilitated together with community, national and international partnership organizations and Mount Stuart Trust’s archivist, curator, contemporary visual arts director, countryside ranger and tourism team.
We have a dedicated lecture and audio visual room in the Visitor Centre, and can provide larger spaces within the house on request.
