Mount Stuart is an incredible living legacy. It is our aim to make sure as many people as possible benefit from its exceptional location, fascinating history, rare collections and wealth of facilities.

We are always keen to get involved in festivals, educational programmes and positive initiatives. We host a range of events at Mount Stuart, including eatbute08, which celebrates fresh, seasonal and locally produced food.

The present head of the family, Johnny Bute, is a Scottish peer and former racing driver who is dedicated to supporting the local economy and maintaining the rural lifestyle and natural beauty of Bute.
