The Purple Sitting Room … 'royal purple'
The Purple Sitting Room is one of the private rooms within Mount Stuart and as such, it is not usually open to the general public. Having recently been refurbished to an exactingly high standard for use as a private venue, it is a shining example of the lavish interiors of this gothic mansion.
The warm and intimate room is ideal for weddings and civil ceremonies for up to 30 guests. Originally used as the breakfast room when the House was first built, it became the Family Sitting Room in the 1950's.
The room has comfortable window seats, an impressive fireplace and enjoys beautiful views across the front lawn to the Firth of Clyde. Resplendent in a deep and royal purple, this room creates a romantic ambience for your special day.
