The Purple Sitting Room

This is one of the private rooms within Mount Stuart and as such, is not usually open to the general public.

Having recently been refurbished to an exactingly high standard for use as a private venue, it is a shining example of the lavish interiors of this gothic Victorian mansion.

The warm room is ideal for intimate gatherings of up to 30 guests. Originally used as the breakfast room when the house was first built, it became the Family Sitting Room in the 1950's.

Relax on the comfortable window seats to enjoy the beautiful views across the front lawn to the Firth of Clyde. Resplendent in a deep, royal purple, this richly decorated room will create a welcoming ambience for your special occasion.
