The Marble Hall

A grand and otherworldly space at the very heart of Mount Stuart, the Marble Hall is a glorious setting for a private event.

Lovingly constructed and adorned over a period of decades, it achieves a majesty that will surprise and enthral your guests. Themes for astrology and astronomy grace the stunning vaulted ceiling, which soars to a dramatic height of 80 feet. Created from rare Italian and Sicilian marble and alabaster, the cathedral-like room also features zodiac stained glass windows.

The Hall boasts two great tapestries, which were produced by the Dovecot Studio in Edinburgh. One shows a hunting scene in the Scottish Highlands, while the other depicts a Highland Games event, which took place in 1820.

As well as being beautifully atmospheric, this vast and mysterious space is incredibly flexible for private hire. It can accommodate up to 150 guests for a meal and more for a party or event. If you are entertaining, the darkly beguiling room can be transformed into a dance floor, creating a magical backdrop for your revelry.
