Our Restaurant is open throughout the year, serving delicious locally-sourced food and boasting panoramic views towards the Firth of Clyde. Also within our award-winning Visitor Centre, we have a bright and airy Gallery with floor-to-ceiling window (available between October and April only) and a fully equipped Audio-Visual Room (or Lecture Theatre) that seats up to 50.

If you prefer to 'go alfresco', there are over 300 acres of formal gardens and luscious wilderness at your disposal – including the front lawn, Rock Garden and exotic Wee Garden.

For overnight accommodation, we have 22 luxurious and historic bedrooms within the Mount Stuart house itself (sleeping up to 37). You could also choose the quiet seclusion of our newly restored lodges at the nearby 18th Century farmstead, Nether Stravannan.

As a vast and well-maintained historic house, Mount Stuart holds endless nooks and crannies that could enhance your time with us. These include rooms not usually seen by the public, such as our elegant Smoking Room and grand Billiard Room, complete with portraits of 19th Century boxing champions. Hidden in the depths of the house is a wonderful surprise; the first indoor heated Swimming Pool in Britain, which is equal in opulence to the rest of this majestic mansion.
